It has been quite the whirlwind week for me. I just wanted to let everyone know how grateful I am for the opportunities and support I have received lately from publishers, editors, and especially the readers that purchase and read my books.

So, what happened this week, you ask? Well let’s start with about seven days ago. On June 19, 2019, Clarendon House Publications released their anthology, Blaze.

This anthology includes my short story, “Confession.” I was informed last Thursday that the book had become a best seller overseas. Specifically, it had reached #4 on the Amazon bestseller list in France.

I was over the moon about this, but the ride was not yet over.

On June 25, 2019, Black Hare Press released their first collection of micro-fiction, entitled, Worlds. Worlds launched a massive book release campaign on Facebook and promoted the hell out of this wonderful collection of drabbles. The anthology includes five of my stories, “Catch of the Day,” “Black Hole,” “Overpopulation,” “Far From Home,” and “First Contact.”

From the very beginning, Worlds generated a lot of buzz. Within 48 hours of release, Worlds was the #1 best selling anthology on Amazon in Australia. Black Hare Press is based in Australia and I was so excited to see them crush the competition on their home turf. But again, they were not done just yet.

In addition to monster sales in Australia, Worlds landed in the top 20 best sellers in Canada, top 50 in Germany and the UK, and also top 50 in my own little town called the U.S. of A.

Yup, in one week’s time, I have achieved the status of International Best Selling Author.

I have gone from a complete nobody to … well, still a complete nobody, but a nobody with a nifty title I can carry around in my pocket.

Thank you again to Clarendon House Publications and Grant P. Hudson for including me in Blaze, and thank you to Black Hare Press and Dean Kershaw for allowing me to be a small part of Worlds.

I look forward to what the future brings and, hopefully, many more exciting moments. Next July will see the release of Black Hare Press’ second dark drabble anthology, Angels, as well as the anthology, Dig Two Graves Vol.2, from Death’s Head Press. I have managed to finagle some of my scribblings into both of them.

Here is hoping for another wild ride. Fingers crossed!
