Hunting Grounds is completed and ready for release on May 9, 2024. I have been hard at work the past few weeks with final edits and rewrites.

And speaking of edits, have you ever read a book and not found a single typo in the entire thing? No? Me either.

Which brings me to my typo challenge. Read Hunting Grounds when it comes out, and if you are one of the first three people to find a typo in the book text, you could win five dollars (U.S.).

The rules are simple: If you find a typo anywhere in the body of the book, Hunting Grounds, email me at gary@deepdarkthoughts.com and tell me the mistake you found, specifying the chapter and the first sentence in the paragraph where you found the error. If you are one of the first three people to email me, even if it is the same typo someone else already found, you can win five dollars!

I don’t guarantee there will be any mistakes in my novel, I tried really hard to make it perfect, but the odds are pretty good I missed something.

Acceptable mistakes for purposes of this competition are typos, misspelled words, or unintentionally missing or doubled words.

Because authors often take some poetic license with their works, I will not consider any grammatical flaws, punctuation suggestions, or questionable phrasing as errors.

The three winners will be decided by the timestamp of their emails in my inbox. The first three I receive pointing out legitimate errors will be the winners. The contest will end when there are three winners, or on May 15, 2024, at 12:00 noon PST, whichever occurs first. If I don’t have three winners by May 15, I will assume there is insufficient interest, or else the book is flawless.

To improve your chances, pre-order your copy of Hunting Grounds on Kindle. (You can do that by clicking here.) The first to get access to the book will most likely be the first to find a mistake to report. Winners will be payable in U.S. currency through PayPal, Venmo, or Amazon gift card, whichever they prefer.

Get a copy of Hunting Grounds and try to win. There are no losers here. Even if you don’t win five bucks, you still get to read a great book.

Happy reading, and good luck!
